The Garmin Approach S82 is a unique laser GPS rangefinder that projects a detailed map of the golf course into the rangefinder’s field of view. The detailed map in the field of view provides information about distances not only to the target but also to other important objects on the course (hazards, doglegs, layups...). What’s more, it can show the direction and distance to the hole even from a spot where the hole is not directly visible. The Approach S82 measures distances with exceptional accuracy – when targeting the flag, it achieves an accuracy of 25 cm!

Green view: The map background shows the layout of the hole, so you know the exact distance to the back, middle, and front of the green. Targeted distance arc: The targeting arc feature creates an arc of targeted distance on the 2D CourseView map, allowing you to clearly see everything within that distance.

Hazard view: You can easily browse individual hazards and layup distances on the map and track how far you are from them. Wind under control: The rangefinder displays wind speed and direction, making it easier to decide on the right club and shot direction.

PlayLike distance: This feature adjusts the distance for uphill and downhill shots based on the elevation difference between your position and the target. Hole at your fingertips: When playing blind, the PinPointer feature guides you in the direction of the hole. So even if you can’t see it, you know exactly where to play. Precise flag location: This feature makes it easier to find and target the flag. When locked on, it confirms with a vibration.

Tournament mode: The external indicator (which you can turn on and off) notifies you and your playing partners that you are using the approved tournament mode.
