Mizuno JPX-925 Forged Black, sport golf irons

The main pillar of the JPX-925 Forged series is the CORTECH Design, whose heart is the innovative Contour Ellipse Face. This multi-layered striking face optimizes ball speed across the entire width of the clubhead, enhancing not only distance but also forgiving minor inaccuracies. The resulting combination slightly resembles the durability and stability of the Hot Metal series, yet retains the soft and controllable feel of traditional forged irons.

It all begins with special manufacturing processes that Mizuno had to newly develop to achieve the ideal shape and performance of the Contour Ellipse Face. This unique construction is then enhanced by the famous Grain Flow Forged HD process in Hiroshima, Japan, which ensures top quality and consistent material structure. Long irons (4–7) are forged from Chromoly 4120 to provide higher speeds and easier achievement of the ideal trajectory. Short irons (8–GW) made from 1025E Pure Select Mild Carbon Steel excel in excellent precision, control, and the typical "Mizuno" feel. Thanks to the thoughtful choice of materials, a smooth transition of performance and feel is ensured across the entire set.

Additionally, Mizuno engineers focused on the processing of the sole edge, introducing an improved Triple Cut Sole design. The gently beveled leading edge facilitates turf interaction, while the more sharply rounded trailing edge minimizes resistance during follow-through. The result is more confident contact and smoother passage even in challenging conditions, supporting greater versatility in various on-course situations.

A significant role is also played by aesthetics. The JPX-925 Forged models are available in two stunning finishes: Traditional Satin Chrome for a classic, timeless look, or Forged Black Limited Edition with a boldly modern touch and lower glare levels. Both options combine premium appearance with functionality – the result is confident and professional.

JPX-925 Forged embody Mizuno’s relentless pursuit of innovation and excellence. If you are looking for forged irons offering a balance between speed, forgiveness, and the renowned Mizuno feel, this series will convince you that top performance and a soft touch can perfectly coexist.
