The G730 irons are not just about distance; they are primarily about ease – easy achievement of the ideal trajectory and high forgiveness on off-center hits. All of this helps recreational players enjoy more successful shots and gradually improve their scores.

The Ping G730 is designed for players who play regularly but rarely practice. When they find time for golf, they want to spend it on the course, not on the practice mat. They prefer clubs with high forgiveness for easy contact. They are not looking to shape shots, and their main goal is to get the ball easily in the air and, if possible, into the hole without much hassle.

Extreme Forgiveness
A larger head, greater offset, and wider sole in the stainless steel cast construction increase the moment of inertia (MOI), enhancing forgiveness and stability.

Performance of the Entire Set
The G730 irons are available in 5 to 9 and wedges PW, UW, 50°, and 56°. These four wedges feature a modified impact face and grooves for better control and consistent results in all conditions.

Lofts Optimized for Ideal Distance Gapping
Custom-designed lofts help increase distance while optimizing gapping. The option to choose lofts with power (stronger/lower lofts) and retro (weaker/higher lofts) specifications allows fitters to further optimize performance. A tungsten screw at the tip and weighting in the hosel enable fine-tuning of swing weight.

Better Flex of the Impact Face
By using 17-4 stainless steel and heat treatment, the impact face was thinned and its overall structure optimized. Combined with a low center of gravity, this results in easier achievement of ideal trajectory, higher ball speed, and less distance loss on off-center hits.
