The Garmin Approach S82 is a unique laser GPS rangefinder that projects a detailed map of the golf course into the rangefinder’s field of view. The detailed map provides information not only about the distance to your target, but also to other important features on the course (hazards, doglegs, layups, etc.). What’s more, it can show the direction and distance to the hole even from a location without a direct line of sight to it. The Approach Z82 measures distances with exceptional accuracy—when targeting the flag, it is accurate to within 25 cm!

Green View: The map displays the hole layout, so you know the exact distance to the back, middle and front of the green. Target Distance Arc: The targeting arc feature creates an arc showing the target distance on the 2D CourseView map, allowing you to see everything located within that distance.

Hazard View: You can easily browse individual hazards and layup distances on the map and see how far away they are. Keep the Wind in Check: The rangefinder displays wind speed and direction, making it easier to decide which club to use and where to aim your shot.

PlayLike Distance: This feature adjusts the distance for uphill and downhill shots based on the elevation difference between your position and the target. Hole at a Glance: When playing blind, the PinPointer feature tells you which direction the pin is in. So even when you cannot see it, you know exactly where to play. Precise Pin Location: This feature makes it easier to find and target the pin. Once you have locked onto it, vibration confirms the target.

Tournament Mode: An external indicator light (which you can turn on and off) lets you and your playing partners know that you are using the permitted Tournament Mode.
