The Honma TW 777 Max model range focuses on making the long game as easy as possible for golfers without sacrificing a premium feel and precise Japanese craftsmanship.

Multi-material construction for a high launch angle

The key to the Max model’s easy launch is an intelligent combination of lightweight and strong materials. The carbon crown makes it possible to dramatically reduce weight in the upper part of the Club and reposition it deep and low in the head. This strategic center-of-gravity (CG) placement helps golfers get the ball into the air more easily with a higher trajectory. The SUS630 steel body is balanced with tungsten and aluminum weights, increasing head stability and ensuring that the Club does not twist at impact, resulting in straighter shots.

Titanium Cup Face technology for higher speed

The Cup Face-style face is made from forged C300 titanium. This construction is not just a flat plate but extends over the edges of the head, allowing significantly greater flexibility at impact. For players, this means a noticeable increase in ball speed across a wider area of the face. Even if you do not strike the ball precisely in the center, Cup Face technology minimizes distance loss and maintains shot direction, making this wood one of the most forgiving on the market.

Stability and clean contact with GET SOLE technology

The larger head design of the Max version naturally enlarges the so-called sweet spot, reducing the effects of inaccurate strikes. However, to prevent the larger head from feeling cumbersome when interacting with the ground, Honma uses GET SOLE technology. This specific shaping of the bottom of the Club optimizes turf interaction and significantly reduces friction. As a result, the Club glides smoothly over the surface, leading to clean ball contact even from difficult lies, such as thicker grass or tight fairway lies.

The Club is fitted with a VIZARD shaft, developed specifically for the Max range to complement its characteristics. Honma’s engineers achieved an ideal combination of low weight and high strength by layering advanced materials. This shaft supports a smooth swing extension and helps maximize the performance of the Club head, providing players with a consistent feel and greater stability throughout the motion without the need to exert excessive force.
