Honma offers three specific sole variants to suit different short-game styles:
I Sole Grind
Light trailing-edge relief across the entire rear edge ensures smooth turf interaction at address and through impact. This variant provides the sole’s full performance and is ideal for standard shots with a neutral setup.
C Sole Grind with High Bounce
Designed for actively manipulating the opening and closing of the clubface. Significant heel and toe relief, combined with a flat bounce profile, provides excellent versatility around the green—ideal for lob shots, flop shots, and creative play.
S Sole Grind with Low Bounce
The wide sole with four-way relief is designed for shots without significantly opening the clubface. It offers forgiveness from the sand and difficult lies—ideal for players who prefer simplicity and consistent contact.
