Mizuno ST Max 230 Fairway Wood, Women's
Maximum Stability
The ST-MAX 230 Fairway Wood is designed with a larger footprint (base) and a wide profile for extreme stability. Wrapping the toe in composite material (wrap around toe composite) increases resistance to twisting and ensures that even on off-center hits, the trajectory remains as straight and predictable as possible.
Expanded CORTECH Chamber
At the heart of the new fairway wood is the redesigned CORTECH Chamber—a solid stainless-steel structure filled with TPU elastomer. This construction relieves stress from the clubface while also acting as an additional source of energy. In the ST-MAX 230 model, the chamber is extended and moved closer to the clubface, increasing ball speed even on shots struck away from the ideal impact point.
High Energy MAS1C Steel Face
The ST-MAX 230 uses high-strength MAS1C steel with a multi-thickness face. This clubface is designed to generate high ball speed across a wider area while maintaining the durability needed for a long service life.
Speed Bevel
The modified leading edge ensures smoother movement through the swing path and minimizes resistance when contacting the turf. This feature also helps maintain ball speed when playing from the fairway or light rough, so you can achieve longer, more consistent shots even away from the tee.
Quick Switch Hosel
Golfers can adjust the clubhead angle and loft in seconds thanks to the four-step adjustment. This flexibility makes it easy to customize ball flight and optimize distance and control according to your preferences and current course conditions.
Wrap Around Toe Composite
The graphite composite in the toe significantly helps balance the entire clubhead. Moving weight from metal to composite in the toe reduces clubhead twisting at impact, increasing stability and forgiveness on off-center hits.
