Mizuno ST Max 230 Driver

Low profile and wide sole
At first glance, the ST-MAX 230 looks larger than its official 460cc would suggest. Thanks to its wider sole and low profile, the driver achieves an exceptionally high MOI (moment of inertia). This means it is forgiving on less accurate off-center hits and minimizes clubhead twisting at impact. The result is a straighter, more predictable ball flight with a consistent launch angle across the entire face.

CORTECH Chamber
At the heart of the ST-MAX 230 driver technology is the improved CORTECH Chamber - a dense stainless-steel component filled with TPU elastomer that “takes” stress off the face while returning energy to the ball. In the ST-MAX 230, the chamber is extended and positioned closer to the clubface, increasing effective speed across an even larger area of the face. This makes the driver highly forgiving across different impact points and delivers high ball speed even on contact away from the ideal center.

New Beta Rich Ti LFS face
The Beta Rich Ti LFS material used is 9% stronger in tensile strength than the previous-generation SAT2041, allowing for a more complex, multi-layer face construction. This lighter, more durable titanium not only increases ball speed on well-struck shots, but also promotes more consistent launch on off-center hits. This technology was first introduced in the Mizuno Tour ST-G 440cc driver and is now featured in the ST-MAX 230.

Maximum stability
With a massive 54g weight in the back of the clubhead and 40% more carbon composite, the ST-MAX 230 delivers exceptional stability at impact. This effectively minimizes clubhead twisting, even on off-center hits, helping you keep the ball on your chosen trajectory with a tighter shot dispersion.

Longer shaft (45 ¾ inches)
Another key to higher swing speeds is the longer shaft. Thanks to the improved stability of the clubhead, Mizuno was able to lengthen the driver without compromising control. In practice, this gives you a faster swing and the potential for longer drives without sacrificing control and accuracy.

Quick Switch Hosel
The ST-MAX 230 features a quick-adjust system for lie and loft across a 4-degree range. This lets you easily fine-tune your shot shape and launch angle to achieve the ideal combination of distance and accuracy for your personal swing.
