Mizuno ST Max 230 Driver

Low profile and wide sole
At first glance, the ST-MAX 230 appears larger than its official 460cc would suggest. Thanks to a wider sole and low profile, the driver achieves an extremely high MOI (moment of inertia). This means it forgives less precise off-center hits and minimizes clubhead twisting on ball contact. The result is a straighter and more predictable ball flight with consistent launch angle across the entire face.

CORTECH Chamber
At the heart of the ST-MAX 230 driver technology is the improved CORTECH Chamber – a dense stainless steel element filled with TPU elastomer that "absorbs" tension from the face while returning energy back to the ball. In the ST-MAX 230, this chamber is extended and positioned closer to the clubface, increasing effective speed across an even larger area of the face. This makes the driver very forgiving on various impact points and provides high ball speed even on off-center contact.

New Beta Rich Ti LFS face
The Beta Rich Ti LFS material used is 9% stronger in tension than the previous generation SAT2041, allowing for a more complex multi-layer construction of the face. This lighter and more durable titanium not only increases ball speed on optimal strikes but also contributes to greater consistency in ball launch even on off-center hits. This technology was first introduced in the Mizuno Tour driver ST-G 440cc and is now incorporated into the ST-MAX 230 model.

Maximum stability
Thanks to a massive 54g weight in the back of the head and a 40% larger proportion of graphite composite, the ST-MAX 230 exhibits extreme stability on impact. This effectively minimizes clubhead twisting even on off-center hits, helping you keep the ball on the chosen trajectory with less shot dispersion.

Extended shaft (45 ¾ inches)
Another key to higher swing speeds is the extended shaft. Thanks to the improved stability of the clubhead, Mizuno was able to extend the driver without compromising control. In practice, this means you get a faster swing and potential for longer drives without sacrificing control and accuracy.

Quick Switch Hosel
ST-MAX 230 is equipped with a quick lie and loft adjustment system within a range of 4 degrees. This allows you to easily fine-tune the flight curve and vertical launch angle to achieve the optimal combination of distance and accuracy for your personal swing.
