Mizuno T-22 Wedge, Satin Chrome
The T-22 comes in three color options and four sole shaping variants. Sporty players will especially appreciate the compact head size with a thinner top line and balance for maximum spin even with a lower, more penetrating trajectory.
A design that takes the best from its predecessors.
The Mizuno T7 was very successful among sporty and performance players who prefer maximum playability and the look of true blades. The T-20 model brought high forgiveness and balance to make wedges more playable for a wide range of recreational players. The new T-22 takes the best from both models and brings to the market a sporty-looking wedge with balance that makes it easier to play even for higher handicap players.
Super soft feel at ball contact.
Mizuno is known for its forged irons that offer a super soft feel at ball contact. You can fully enjoy this feel on full swing shots, but for wedge shots, something new was needed, which is the copper layer that softens the feel of shots hit with 3/4 or half swings.
Four soles for the ideal match with your preference
S - narrow sole, ideal for full, straight shots, most often with PW or AW. D - universal sole on SW and LW for most players who want to experiment with different types of chips. C - features a shaped sole for greater shot versatility on hard surfaces. X - sole shaped for the needs of the best players who like to rotate, open, close, or play off the tip. X offers endless creative possibilities.
Spin when you need it most.
Each head of the new T-22 is balanced to perform best on the shots most commonly played with it. PW and AW have a low center of gravity to help the ball launch into the air and drop more steeply onto the green for better control after landing, while SW and LW have the center of gravity shifted to the back upper half for a lower trajectory and maximum spin on short chips where the ball is not fully compressed.
More accuracy in rain and dew.
A wet impact face reduces spin, so Mizuno uses laser-etched micro grooves that more easily channel moisture away and increase stability and control.
Longer groove life thanks to special boron steel.
Mizuno has been using boron alloy in irons for several years and now introduces this material in wedges as well. Boron makes the steel stronger, which results in longer durability. This keeps the grooves sharper for longer, so you can rely on sustained maximum performance.
