Redesigned Face and Optimal Trajectory
The key to the Ping G440 hybrids’ performance is their shallower (by 8%) and thinner (by 6%) face, which increases flexibility and helps players strike the ball higher on the face. This makes it easier to achieve a higher launch and greater carry. The optimized face-thickness distribution also stabilizes speed on strikes outside the ideal sweet spot, delivering consistent results and better performance even on mishits.

Free-Hosel Technology and Lower CG
The Ping G440 hybrids’ construction removes 4 grams of weight from around the hosel, lowering the center of gravity by a full 12%. Combined with the lower face, this produces an even higher launch and helps the ball stop more effectively on the green. Known as Free-Hosel Technology, this innovation provides better control over ball flight and increases forgiveness on less-than-perfect strikes.

Contoured Sole Design and Carbon Crown
The carefully engineered sole shape (Contoured Sole Design) ensures that the Ping G440 hybrid sits consistently on the ground, even when loft or lie settings change. Ping G440 hybrids are available in a wide range of lofts (from 17° for the 2-hybrid to 34° for the 7-hybrid), making it easy to fill the gaps between long irons and fairway woods. The adjustable Trajectory Tuning 2.0 hosel lets you fine-tune loft by ±1.5° and adjust lie by up to 3° flatter, helping you achieve the right ball flight for your swing. For example, the 2-hybrid, with a slight fade bias, is an excellent option off the tee, while the 5-hybrid and higher-lofted models are designed with a slight draw bias and higher launch for easier control on approach shots to the green.
