Glide 4.0 is made from very soft steel, which combined with the damping insert behind the striking face offers a very soft feel and perfect feedback on shots. Thanks to the new size and shape of the damping insert, the effective hitting area has been increased by 36%. This means you will have better results even on shots not struck exactly in the center of the head.
CNC milled grooves and new micro-groove texture for more spin.
Precise milling of grooves and the new micro-groove texture increase friction and interaction with the ball for a lower trajectory and greater ball spin. Because of this, the ball will stop quickly after landing on the green.
New sole shapes for the ideal choice.
The new Glide 4.0 can be selected with four different soles that can improve the accuracy of your chips.
- S Grind – a universal sole suitable for most recreational golfers. It offers versatile performance from both fairway and rough.
- W Grind – a sole that offers the greatest forgiveness. This sole suits players who make a deep cut. An ideal choice for shots from sand or rough.
- T Grind – a sole that allows you to play any shot. Whether you want to play a low or high shot, or open or close the wedge. There are no limits to your imagination.
- E Grind – a higher toe and more grooves for maximum performance in sand.
The standard steel shaft is the Ping Z-Z115 with wedge flex. The standard graphite shaft is the Alta CB Slate with Senior, Regular, and Stiff flexes. If you prefer a different shaft, just contact us and consult on the selection.
