Glide 4.0 wedges are made from very soft steel which, combined with the damping insert behind the impact area, offers an exceptionally soft feel and perfect feedback on every shot. Thanks to the new size and shape of the damping insert, the effective hitting area has been increased by 36%. This gives you better results even on shots that are not struck precisely in the center of the head.
CNC-milled grooves and new micro-groove texture for more spin.
Precise groove milling and the new micro-groove texture increase friction and interaction with the ball, producing a lower trajectory and more ball spin. As a result, the ball will stop shortly after landing on the green.
New sole grinds for the ideal choice.
The new Glide 4.0 wedges are available with four different sole grinds, which can improve the accuracy of your approach shots.
- S Grind - a versatile sole grind suitable for most recreational golfers. It delivers all-round performance from both the fairway and the rough.
- W Grind - a sole grind offering the greatest forgiveness. It suits players who take deep divots. An ideal choice for shots from the sand or rough.
- T Grind - a sole grind that allows you to play any shot. Whether you want to hit a low or high shot, or open or close the wedge, the possibilities are limitless.
- E Grind - a higher toe and more grooves for maximum performance from the sand.
The standard steel shaft is the Ping Z-Z115 with wedge flex. The standard graphite shaft is the Alta CB Slate, available in Senior, Regular, and Stiff flexes. If you prefer a different shaft, simply contact us to discuss your options.
