Ping iCrossover Driving Iron, Utility
Ping iCrossover Driving Iron is a modern utility club designed for experienced golfers who want to improve the performance of their long irons without losing control and feel. Within a compact tour design lies a technologically advanced construction that offers easily adjustable ball flight, high speed, and better impact on the green.
The striking face and low center of gravity are key to exceptional ball speed and a high launch angle. The thin, highly flexible face combined with a lower CG transfers more energy to the ball and generates a higher trajectory with greater carry and reliable spin. Milled MicroMax grooves and Hydropearl 2.0 black matte finish ensure consistent spin even in wet conditions.
A new feature in utility irons is the adjustable loft with Trajectory Tuning 2.0 technology, offering 8 loft and lie settings within a range of ±1.5°. This allows the player to easily customize the trajectory and optimize ball flight for distance and accuracy.
The tour-inspired head shape with a shorter blade length, minimal offset, and rounded leading edge provides a sleek, compact look and easier passage through the turf. The shaft length is typically about ¼ inch shorter for better control and precision.
The club’s internal cavity is reduced and filled with EVA polymer, which ensures vibration damping and a soft, premium feel at impact. Tungsten weights in the tip and heel increase the moment of inertia (MOI), thus enhancing forgiveness on off-center hits.
Ping iCrossover is an ideal choice for players seeking a controlled and powerful club for long shots with the option of precise trajectory adjustment. It complements an iron set well and offers versatile use from the tee and fairway. Available in 2, 3, and 4 variants.
