Ping iDi Crossover Driving Iron, Utility
Better Sound and Feel with inR-Air
Patented inR-Air technology adds an air pocket behind the impact area to absorb unwanted vibrations and sound frequencies. The result is a quieter, more pleasant impact that feels remarkably solid even with a fast swing.
Stability Thanks to the Metal Reinforcement
The i-Beam internal reinforcement inside the stainless-steel body adds rigidity to the construction while also dampening vibrations. Overall, it contributes to more precise ball contact and greater shot consistency.
Higher Forgiveness and Ball Speed
The cavity back is covered, allowing the centre of gravity (CG) to be positioned lower and the moment of inertia (MOI) to be increased. The thin, flexible maraging steel face produces higher ball speeds and longer flight—all with a controlled trajectory.
Three Different Lofts for Maximum Versatility
- 2i (17°) – a classic driving iron with a low-spin, penetrating trajectory
- 3i (20°) – a versatile club suitable as both a driving iron and a replacement for a long iron
- 4i (23°) – higher launch and more spin, ideal for approaching the green from greater distances
Easier Control and the Option for Creative Shot-Making
The new head shape is shorter from heel to toe and has minimal offset, improving trajectory control and making it easier to shape shots. Compared with the previous generation, the new models are 1° flatter, which helps more experienced players hit low, penetrating shots.
Excellent Turf Interaction
The rounded leading edge and increased sole camber ensure smooth turf interaction. Precise swing-weight tuning is achieved through weights in the toe and at the end of the shaft, resulting in a balanced feel throughout the swing.
Premium Shafts to Choose From
The standard shaft is the PING Tour 2.0 Chrome 85 graphite shaft, offering a mid-low launch, stability and a tight dispersion.
Alternatively, you can choose:
PING Tour 2.0 Black 90 – lower launch, suitable for more aggressive swings
PING ALTA CB Blue 70 – higher trajectory with controlled spin
Project X Denali Red 80 – counter-balanced for higher launch and spin
Mitsubishi Tensei 1K Black 85 – for stronger players, with a low, penetrating flight
