The design of the Qi irons was created for maximum stability and the largest sweet spot ever seen in TaylorMade irons in this category. A longer distance from the hosel to the tip improves forgiveness, while the new shape of the front sole edge and heel is designed to make it easier to strike the ball cleanly whether it lies on a closely mown fairway or higher rough.

Most irons for casual players are designed to eliminate slices. The Qi irons are equipped with TaylorMade’s patented impact face technology, which is designed to control flexibility and reduce spin for straighter shots with all clubs in the set.

Each head was designed to provide specific performance for individual irons. The design, based on the fundamental demands for maximum distance and high forgiveness, was adapted to make it easy to get the ball airborne and control its landing.
FLTD CG technology changes the strategic placement of the center of gravity in each specific iron. The lowest centers of gravity are in the long irons for a high launch angle and maximum forgiveness, and the center of gravity gradually moves higher to make it easier to achieve the desired distance and balanced spin even with irons with higher lofts.
