TaylorMade Spider ZT, golf putter for maximum stability
The TaylorMade Spider ZT brings all the proven features of the legendary Spider family in a new design focused on maximum stability and consistent performance on the greens. The head is engineered to support a smooth, repeatable putting stroke without unwanted rotation.
At its core is a combination of high-density 303 stainless steel in the front section and lightweight 6061 aerospace-grade aluminium in the rear section of the head. This multi-material construction enables extreme perimeter weighting and precise centre-of-gravity positioning, resulting in a very high moment of inertia. The result is exceptional head stability and high forgiveness, even on off-centre strikes.
The low-torque design is supported by a KBS shaft that is drilled directly along the centre-of-gravity axis. The slight forward shaft lean and the hosel positioned 25 mm behind the leading edge create a so-called toe-up head orientation, which increases stability throughout the stroke. The SuperStroke 1.0 Pistol grip is designed to naturally support the forward shaft lean and minimise the addition of loft at impact.
The newly shaped sole with improved camber ensures better ground contact for a wide range of players. The sole curvature works together with the hosel positioned towards the toe and helps the head sit correctly on the ground. This makes setup stable and natural, with the face pointing precisely at the target.
Premium milled True Path™ alignment is now integrated directly into the 303 steel face. Finely milled lines the width of a golf ball make it easier to centre the ball accurately at setup and significantly improve visual control of the intended direction.
The Pure Roll™ insert combines Surlyn and aluminium and features grooves set at a 45° angle. These promote a faster transition of the golf ball into forward roll, improve acoustics at impact and provide a very pleasant, clear feel when putting.
