TaylorMade Spider ZT, golf putter for maximum stability
The TaylorMade Spider ZT brings all the proven features of the legendary Spider family in a new design focused on absolute stability and consistent performance on the greens. The head construction is designed to maximally support a smooth and repeatable putting stroke without unwanted rotation.
At its core is a combination of high-density 303 stainless steel in the front and lightweight 6061 aerospace aluminum in the back of the head. This multi-material solution allows for extreme perimeter weighting and precise center of gravity placement, resulting in a very high moment of inertia. The result is exceptional head stability and high forgiveness even on off-center hits.
The low-torque design is supported by a KBS shaft, which is drilled directly through the center of gravity axis. A slight forward shaft lean and a 25 mm offset of the hosel behind the leading edge create a toe-up head orientation that increases stability throughout the stroke. The SuperStroke 1.0 Pistol grip is designed to naturally support the forward shaft lean and minimize added loft at impact.
The newly shaped sole with improved camber ensures better ground contact across a wide range of players. The sole curvature works together with the hosel placement toward the tip to help the head settle properly on the ground. This creates a stable, natural setup and an impact face that points precisely at the target.
The premium True Path™ milled alignment is now integrated directly into the 303 steel impact face. Finely milled lines the width of a golf ball make it easier to precisely center the ball at setup and significantly improve visual directional control.
The Pure Roll™ insert combines Surlyn and aluminum materials and features grooves angled at 45°. These promote faster forward roll of the golf ball, improve sound at contact, and provide a very pleasant, readable feel when putting.
