Ping S159 Midnight Wedge
Extensive testing with PING players on Tour helped create a wedge that appeals to golfers of all skill levels. The 8620 carbon steel head is cast into an attractive shape with a straighter leading edge, which is especially advantageous for full shots. The elastomer insert behind the impact area contributes to a soft and pleasant feel at impact. When addressed, the compact head features an improved hosel transition with a consistent offset that smoothly matches the new Blueprint S and T irons.
The milled grooves have a precise shape for ideal performance at each loft. Variants with lofts from 54 to 62 degrees have more densely spaced MicroMax grooves so that every chip shot has enough spin for perfect control on a half swing. Wedges with lofts from 46 to 52 degrees have wider, deeper grooves and edges with a different angle to absorb all debris and provide the cleanest possible contact between the head and the ball. Each impact surface is also coated with a layer that increases friction for better control of launch angle and ball spin.

Grind "S": The most played and popular variant. Suitable for a wide range of conditions and techniques. Designed with enough bounce for full shots while also providing versatility around the green. Available in 46°, 48°, 50°, 52°, 54°, 56°, 58°, 60° variants.
New "H" or Half-Moon Grind: For players with a steeper angle of attack who like to manipulate the grip and play versatile shots. Performs best in softer conditions. Available in 54°, 56°, 58°, 60° lofts.
New "B" grind: For a shallow angle of attack and neutral setup option. The low bounce head sits low on the turf and provides forgiveness through the width of the sole to improve performance on firmer ground. Available in 58°, 60° lofts.
Grind "T": The most versatile variant allows players to manipulate the head position for chips without limiting your creativity. Ideal for medium-firm to firm conditions. At the request of Ping ambassadors, a 62° loft was added for greater versatility. Available in 58°, 60°, 62° variants.
Grind "W": Maximum forgiveness when passing through the turf. Best suited for players with a steep angle of attack, preventing digging and "fat" shots. Available in 54°, 56°, 58°, 60° lofts.
"E" or Eye2 Grind: continues the 40-year tradition that helps golfers get out of the sand as easily as possible. Available in 54°, 56°, 58°, 60° lofts.
